Dear Living Water Bible Church Family,

Grace and peace to you all.

As you know, today we held a congregational vote regarding the proposed building plans. I want to thank everyone who participated and prayerfully consider this important decision for our church.

The results of the vote were 60% in favor of moving forward with the building plans and 40% against.

Prior to the vote, the building committee and I had agreed, and I intended to convey that for a project of this magnitude to move forward, it would require at least a 75% 'Yes' vote—not just a 75% result either way. If I didn’t communicate that clearly at the time, I want to clarify now: my belief has always been that significant initiatives like a building project should only proceed with overwhelming support, to ensure unity and long-term commitment from the entire community. Therefore, in accordance with our church by-laws and constitution, specifically Article 4.04 section B, which places the congregation under the Head of the Church, the Lord Jesus Christ, and under the direction of the Pastor and the counsel of his team, I have decided that we will not be moving forward with the building plans at this time.

We understand that this news may bring disappointment to some and perhaps a sense of relief to others. Both reactions are understandable, and we want to acknowledge the diverse perspectives within our church family.

Please be assured that this decision was made after much prayer and careful consideration, trusting that the Lord is sovereign over all things. We are confident that God has something wonderful in store for Living Water Bible Church. Our future may not look exactly as we envisioned with these plans, but we know His plans are always perfect.

Let us continue to trust in His divine guidance and direction as we seek to be His body of believers here in our community. We look forward to seeing how He will continue to lead and provide for us.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

In His Grace,

Fred Cruz, Pastor
